Yesterday, 09-Jun-2017, in the morning I discovered and reported to Croatian authority an ecocide of bee-eaters nesting place near Peruća Lake. According to my statistic it would be 2nd largest colony of bee-eaters in Croatia. Around 45-55 birds during nesting time were affected. Someone put intentionally the stones on all nest holes. I removed the stones but it was late. Many birds were killed and the nesting process has been interrupted. 5 days before I visited the same place and the nesting process was in a regular phase. Hope the authority will do the job.
