Canon M5 and EF-M 18-150mm plus Olympus macro extension lens f=40mm
Olympus macro extension lens f=40mm with 55mm thread
I have used Olympus macro extension lens f=40mm with thread 55mm to extend macro performance. The Olympus macro extension lens can be mounted directly on Canon EF-M 18-150mm. AF and MF functions are limited at less then around 55cm (from object to sensor). Lens cap and hood cannot be mounted on Olympus macro extension lens. Not sure if Olympus macro extension lens f=40 mm with thread 55mm is available from Olympus any more. The lens can be ordered as a used one from eBay etc.
Below are the photos of metric ruler at f=150mm with and without macro extension lens at a minimum focusing distance. Minimum focusing distance (MFD) with mounted Olympus macro extension lens f=40mm is around 35cm. MFD without Oly macro extension lens is 45 cm .
